I ignite a lifelong love of learning by encouraging children to be ambitious, curious, and resilient. My tutoring builds on what they learn at school, using it as a foundation while accelerating their progress through engaging, tailored sessions. I help children develop the confidence to communicate their knowledge clearly and apply strong problem-solving skills in exams—empowering them to unlock opportunities and thrive in every stage of life.
In my small-group sessions (with up to four children), learners are encouraged to discuss ideas and work through problems together, developing deeper understanding through collaboration. Each session includes short, carefully designed tasks that are structured to maximise learning.
Drawing on research from the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), I use evidence-based strategies to make collaborative learning truly effective. Simply placing children in groups isn’t enough—real progress happens when tasks are thoughtfully planned and focused on clear learning goals. This structured approach ensures children get the most out of every session.
One-to-one feedback is key to helping children achieve their full potential. In my small-group sessions—with a maximum of four children—each learner benefits from personalised, focused feedback throughout the session.
This approach is grounded in research from the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), which states that effective feedback is "specific, accurate and clear." With such small groups, I’m able to provide regular, high-quality feedback that supports each child’s progress, boosts their confidence, and helps them make meaningful improvements in their learning.
Home learning plays a vital role in helping children consolidate what they've learned in tutoring sessions and prepare thoroughly for the Kent Test. Each week, children are set planned homework tasks that align with the focus of their recent sessions, reinforcing key skills and concepts.
To support their learning at home, children are provided with helpful resources—including videos, websites, and revision materials—that make practice engaging and effective. Every piece of homework is marked with personalised feedback to guide improvement and build confidence.
Families are encouraged to support this process by setting aside regular time for revision and engaging with the resources provided. This partnership between tutor, child, and family helps develop strong study habits and ensures children are well-prepared and confident as they approach the Kent Test.
